I wouldn’t call it a double standard, but I think the media is way more focused on Obama than McCain, simply because he is more revolutionary. The only “new” thing McCain has going for him is he’s so old, I’m not sure he’ll make his first term.

And in this election especially, I think being presumptuous helps their campaign in a way that makes them look more definite, more concrete; not to mention giving the people a taste of what it would be like if they were truly the president of the United States, a demo, if you will.
