Tags: National Doughnut Day
Today is National Doughnut Day.
And I really don’t care. The doughnut is just not an interesting food. It’s just a sugary, fried doughball. Most have a sugary glaze and filling that is just sugary fruit. The best part is the hole.
There probably is a way to make doughnuts interesting but no one does it–not Dunkin’ Donuts, not Krispy Kreme.
But I suppose National Doughnut Day was inevitable. After all, Wednesday was National Running Day, and no good deed should go unpunished.
So if you must, go get your free doughnut. But wear a disguise.
